Hyperion Takes its Second 3D Printed Boat to Water

Our latest 3D-printed boat has officially hit the water — marking another big step in Hyperion’s journey to redefine how things are made.

This vessel is the evolution of our first boat, which made history as the first 3D-printed boat in the Southern Hemisphere. Every layer of this new build reflects what we learned from that milestone: better process control, improved design, and a smoother, stronger print.

For this test, we teamed up with 2V Energy, who supplied an electric outboard system. 2V are specialists in clean-tech propulsion, helping us bring quiet, zero-emission performance to the water.

Seeing it glide across the surface is more than a test, it’s a glimpse of what sustainable manufacturing and smart design can do together.

Stay tuned as we keep pushing boundaries in large-format 3D printing for marine, architectural, and infrastructure applications.
