Our facility has a large FDM printer for smaller parts that require great resolution and intricate details. This machine has a build volume of 500mm by 500mm by 500mm with resolutions of 0.1mm. We also offer post-processing of smaller printed parts which includes sanding, filling, priming and painting.

  • PLA (Polylactic Acid)

    PLA is not suitable for load-bearing parts or those subjected to high heat or stress. It tends to be brittle, meaning it has lower impact strength compared to materials like ABS or PETG. However, PLA has a low glass transition temperature (around 60°C), which makes it susceptible to deformation under heat.

  • PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol-Modified)

    PETG combines the durability of ABS and the ease of use of PLA. It is suitable for mechanical parts and protective components due to its strength and heat resistance. PETG has a relatively high glass transition temperature (around 80°C) and excellent layer adhesion, which makes it more durable and less prone to warping. It can, however, be susceptible to scratching.

  • ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene)

    ABS is known for its strength, durability, and heat resistance. It's suitable for functional prototypes and end-use parts that need to withstand higher stress or temperatures. ABS has a higher glass transition temperature (around 105°C) than PLA, but it is more prone to warping and shrinkage during the cooling process.

  • ASA (Acrylic Styrene Acrylonitrile)

    ASA has similar mechanical properties to ABS but with superior UV resistance, which makes it perfect for outdoor applications as it maintains its color and resistance to weather. ASA also has a high glass transition temperature (around 95-105°C) and is resistant to heat and impact.
